  Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard Membership Information

 

 

1. Serving with the Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard is strictly a voluntary (no pay) commitment and

 all who do so are classified as volunteers.

2. All volunteer applicants must satisfy one of the following categories:

   * An honorably discharged veteran of any branch of the armed forces of the United States.

   * Be retired from any branch of the armed forces of the United States

   * Be on active duty with any branch of the armed forces of the United States.

  * Be the spouse, widow/widower, son or daughter of a qualified volunteer or veteran. 

3. Application

   To become a volunteer, all applicants must complete and sign the Honor Guard Membership Application Form and submit it to the Board of Directors. 

The application will be reviewed at the next regular meeting of the Board of Directors and must be approved by a two thirds (2/3) vote.  You will be

notified of your acceptance the next day.
